This survey is intended for the owner, manager or employee which can respond on behalf of the company’s operation in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo (the region). Please complete only one survey per company.

Background / Purpose

Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Economic Development and Tourism (FMWBEDT) has launched a Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Strategy. The purpose of this initiative is to strengthen the regional economy by actively engaging with local businesses, understanding their needs, and responding with targeted, practical solutions.

Through the strategy development our intent is to:

understand the current business environment including challenges and opportunities
identify gaps in supports and services
inform future programs, policies, and pilot initiatives

The survey is anonymous and confidential. Your responses will be reviewed only by the strategy consultant, Nichols Applied Management. Information will be summarized and presented in general format, and any specific comments shared anonymously. You may skip any questions you do not wish to answer.

The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. Once completed, you can enter a random draw for a chance to win a prize, as appreciation for your time.
